Aims and Values

The Society's objective, as laid down by its founders during the reign of George VI, is “to promote good housekeeping and husbandry within the village" which could today be better expressed as 'to promote the fun and pleasure of gardening and the associated crafts and skills along with celebrating the success at the end of the season'.

Families

The Society believes that involving children at the earliest ages will foster an interest in the local community and their environment and welcome their participation.

Children are able to enter all show categories and classes. However, only the Children’s Classes are free. Please click hereto see all of the show classes.
